Was heading to Burnaby's Central park for a horseshoe tournament on Sunday when almost at Tsawassen and an alarm bell went off and a announcement of a Man over board drill to be performed. So we went out on the deck and watch the drill. A dummy was in the water as the ferry slowed and made a slow 180 turn.
Then the employees of the ferry
did their drill with lowering a life raft with two outboard motors on it.
The drill seemed a bit slow as they had a bit of trouble with one of the wires connected to the life raft. But then that's why you do drills to iron out the problems. A 15 min delay but I'm glad they do these things.
As for the tournament they didn't start till we got there and I came in a respectable 3rd place in the A division.
Ok till next time
