We did it !

We did it! With all the pressure of playing the game all of us Canadians love, we won the gold medal at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.

It was a nail biter with the USA tying the game up with just over 20 seconds left. Forcing Overtime.

Crosby scored on a great give and go from the corner and its all history now.

The great thing about Olympic hockey is it is a purer form of hockey compared to the NHL. You see there was few penalties in this gold medal game and as in all the Olympic games no fights. Now tell me that you must have fighting in hockey and Ill point to these games. You can play a rough and tough game with your emotions in check and not resort to fisticuffs. Now wouldn't you rather see this kind of hockey compared to the scrums after every save with all that face washing and bullying.

Well I enjoyed the Olympics checking out a Men's hockey game, 2 women's hockey game and a Canadian Men's curling. Also we enjoyed watching that overtime game against Switzerland on Robson square with all the crazy crowds.

Ok till next time

sorry i took such a break Ill have to get back to this more often

The trees

Well after living in the same yard for almost 25 yrs it was time to do some tree clearing. We had three trees removed and a bunch trimmed. It is amazing how much less sunlight you have after the trees grow for that long. Now our vegetable garden will get a lot more light.

The guys that did this were amazing! They had some tight spots to drop the branches so they didn't crash into our shed or any of the lovely plants in the yard. They didn't damage anything . Like I said amazing. Oh wait I think one little flower got knocked off a roudo

This is a video of how they trimmed the last tree. amazing how they get the branch where they want it.

One problem they did have was they had to come back a second day because a raccoon didn't want to leave his spot the first day. But he wasn't there the next day. So the tree could come down.

ok till next time . enjoy the Olympics Go Canada Go
