This is for testing out sending a blog from windows live writer. Its been very slow with my computer to try this so far. Hopefully it gets better. I am in need of a new computer so in the meantime I have to put up with this slowed down pc.

 

I am attempting to post a few pictures of a tree cutting service using a huge crane to take down some monster poplar trees.  I mean huge.

It was interesting watching them cut then lower the trees.  It was raining on and off so didint get too many pics.

Trying out the Flickr site for uploading pictures and then posting them on my blog.  This picture was taken last year in the spring in Oak Bay.  Its someones front yard.    My wife loved the color and placing of the bench so that's why I took the pic.

I tried to upload two pics to this post but cant figure out how to.  Guess I will have to try again with another post.

New Look

Today I just was fooling around with the layout and things on this blog.  Do you like the changes?  So far I do just not sure what else to do or just leave it as it is.   I don't remember how to get it back to where it was but I'm happy with this now.  Just rambling here.
 

Fob

Well been having trouble with the Fob for my truck.  It only works sometimes and only from some angles of my truck.  I asked around and people told me , oh that's expensive.  People told me that it would cost me like 140 up to 300 dollars.

Well I decided to phone the local Ford dealer and he told me a new fob would be about 50 bucks.  And maybe I could just replace the battery for a couple bucks. (very helpful)

So with that news I headed down to the Ford dealer and inquired about replacing the battery.   Oh sorry we don't carry the batteries.  What!!  Am I the only person that has a Ford that needs a battery replaced .  You think they would have a few on hand to help out .  Especially with customer service.  Good pr.

So I asked ok if i replace the battery and it still doesn't  work do you have any Fobs on hand.  NO. but we can order you one in.

Wow incredible. Nobody has anything useful in stock anymore. Just think of the business they lose because they don't have the items needed in stock.

So off I went to a local battery store.  Had the battery replaced for $4. including tax and it works good as new.

So if you need a new battery on your fob don't go to the dealer head to a battery shop.  It is a time saver and less headaches.

What a view

Last Friday night  we went to Sidney for a walk and dinner.  We were treated with some fantastic views.  Mt Baker all covered in snow and the setting sun set up these fantastic pictures.  Enjoy
