Dont believe the sign

Don't believe the sign. This is a old sign from the business that was on this site before. Now its a toy store, We found it quite funny to see this sign over the toy store. Imagine Some body builder guy going in there and I'm sure he would not last the 20 minutes in this store.

It is amazing how many humorous signs you find around. If you have any like this one send them to me. Maybe I will post them on here. Ok waiting for you to send me a good picture. Or at least tell me where I can take the picture of the sign you saw.

No havent been on holidays

Well no I haven't been on holidays. But yes I haven't written in my blog here for a long time. Its been a number of things. Busy with a lot of things here. You see our 6 yr old grandson is now living with us. And yes hes a typical 6 yr old that wants to do everything now. And when hes finished that he wants to do something else now.

So driving to school and back again after has taken my retirement in a direction that wasn't planned. But don't get me wrong I'm still enjoying it.

Now with a heavy head cold and not much that has inspired me to write, gives you a blog with no entries. Hopefully I can come up with something interesting to write about tomorrow.

Penalty shot?

During tonight's hockey game between Vancouver Canucks and the Phoenix Coyotes the comment was made maybe a team should get a choice of taking a penalty shot or a power play when a penalty shot is awarded.
I think that would be a great idea. I for one if i was a coach would take the 2 min penalty. Why? Because you would most likely get more than one decent scoring chance, and also put pressure on the other team who may take another penalty. The third thing that it would do would take up more time in the game in the other end meaning less time in your end.
And fourth, It could build up momentum.

Well that's my take on what I would do. Tell me what you would do in this situation. Leave a comment and lets chat about this a bit in the comment section. and don't forget to explain why you would take that choice.

Canada comes up short

Well another great game in the World Jr championships. The gold medal game between Canada and the USA and it went again to overtime. Canada fell behind 5-3 with 12 min left because of poor goal tending. Last time they came back against the US it was for poor defense play.

Now with just over 2 min they scored and then scored again with Eberle getting both goals. He has had a great tournament. 14 goals.

So now with teams tied after 3 periods it came down to sudden death overtime. Canada has been great in these in the past but this time one too many mistakes and we were caught in a 2 on 1 the other way and the shooter didn't miss.

All the credit to the USA they played their hearts out and made fewer mistakes and capitalized on their great chances to score.

Canada showed great grit and determination again coming back to force the over time.

Way to go USA you deserved it . well done.

but we will get you back next year.

Who needs pets

Who needs pets when you get views like this right out your Dinning room window. You can see the fence there around the kids fort and my woodshed.

This is a constant trail that the deer follow . It has been an ancestral trail that they have used for years and years. Ever since we've been here they follow it every year. You can see if you click on the pic how they have worn the moss off in the winter when it is wet and slippery.

Our grandson just loves looking out this window and seeing as many as 5 or 6 deer at one time.

They are as you can tell from previous posts pests when it comes to keeping them out of our back yard where my wife loves to garden.
